After a grueling 2 days of interviews in Spain last week the selection committee have now selected the 5 finalists for IBM SmartCamp Barcelona on the 14th June. As usual it was a very difficult process with many of the companies fitting well with the Smart Cities theme. We expect a number of them will be great candidates for future events in other cities as they develop. So the 5 are:
- SkyBus, from Madrid
- BitCarrier, from Barcelona
- DEXMA, from Barcelona
- CyberGrid, from Austria
- Libelium, from Zaragoza
Their focus markets include virtual power plants, energy management,
shared transportation, smart city infrastructure and traffic management
